About
Lucian believes that each story demands a specific medium, and that the more artistic tools a storyteller has in their kit, the better. His stories have ranged from comics and writing, to animation and music. His most recent animated film, Seeing in the Dark, has shown internationally.
Lucian’s love of story extends beyond his personal practice into art education. Everyone has a story to tell, and the younger generations deserve the means to tell their own. During his career, Lucian has taught animation and illustration to children from the ages of five to thirteen. The fresh perspectives students have allow them to inform themselves and teach others to think in new, exciting ways.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Lucian graduated with honors from the animation department at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He now lives in Philadelphia, PA with his partner and cat. When he’s not teaching or drawing, he enjoys playing accordion, cooking, reading and spending time in nature.
